Campaign for Improving Literacy

Hayaan has teamed up with local libraries in order to help improve literacy and foster a love of reading in the community. We are committed to creating an educational atmosphere that makes reading an exciting experience, each and every day. Our CIL projects are intended to empower locals to read and take on literature that may be new to them, while keeping reading and learning fun and dynamic. Book donation

The Hayaan team are proud of the book donation drives success and are immensely appreciative of the support from donors. Over 1500 books were donated and distributed to CIL partner sites.

Adhicadeeye school

It brings us great pleasure to see the children of Khadija Abdi Hussein Langadhe School in Adhicadeeye receive their share of the donated books.

New Laascaanood public library

Hayaan pledged to support and sponsor the newly established Xaange Public Library in Laascaanood. The regional capital with over 250,000 residents was without a public library until now. Hayaan will support the CIL partner library by supplying donated books and paying rent.

Widhwidh library

Hayaan has also teamed up with Widhwidh Public Library as part of the Campaign for Improving Literacy and handed over a portion of the donated books to them.

Kalabaydh Library

Kalabaydh Public Library has also pledged to support the Campaign for Improving Literacy in the community and have taken their share of the donated books.
